The art of rock climbing central to this play making its East Coast debut

If you never thought you would see a harrowing drama of rock-climbing taking place in Jersey City, then you would be mistaken.

Making its East Coast debut, L M Feldman's "Grace, or The Art of Climbing," will be playing at Art House productions at 262 17th St., in Jersey City from Thursday, March 15 to April 1, with performances every Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.

The play, directed by Adin Walker, follows the journey of Emm, who is facing a painful chapter in her life. While fighting the inertia of depression, Emm decides to enter the world of competitive rock-climbing. Her quest takes her through the rugged and humorous terrain of physical training while personal relationships chart a journey suspended between muscularity and vulnerability, and the ardor and grace of being human.
