Javi Day ❤
Today we're announcing Art House's first company holiday, Javi Day, in honor of our friend Javiera Rodriguez who passed away a year ago from complications due to COVID-19. Javi was part of the tight-knit group of designers who volunteered for the Snow Ball Gala year after year, working alongside lead designer and Art House gallery director, Andrea McKenna. We will celebrate Javi and the legacy she left on our organization and community every year on April 2nd. In tribute to her, we invite you to join us in doing one (or all) of the following three things today:
- Do something creative and crafty. Let your imagination go wild like Javi did. See the photos of Javi above and below? She made everything she was wearing.
- Dance. Javi loved to turn up on the dance floor. You don't have to go to the club, just put on your favorite music and dance in your living room.
- Purchase yourself your favorite drink and enjoy. If you're local to Jersey City, you can purchase Javi's favorite drink, Chimay beer at her favorite bar, Lucky 7's.
