Frizz the Sheep
A Family-Friendly Concert for All Ages
Join us for an imaginative and interactive musical experience of Frizz the Sheep, a new piece for chamber ensemble and narrator. Written by author Elle Michael River and Nicole DeMaio, this whimsical story follows Frizz, a clarinet-playing sheep who’s tired of blending in with the flock. When the sheet music for The Little Lamb Band blows away, Frizz’s bold creativity may be just what’s needed to save the performance!
This one-of-a-kind concert is designed with young audiences in mind and includes hands-on opportunities to engage with the music. Children will receive custom coloring pages illustrated by Sofie Bettaieb and are invited to reimagine Frizz in any way they choose — purple stripes, blue spots, or anything their imagination inspires.
In addition to Frizz the Sheep, the program includes:
- Let’s Meet the Clarinets by Billy Novack: an engaging introduction to the clarinet family
- A live poetry reading by our narrator
- Instrument demonstrations for curious minds of all ages
