TWO MINDS. ONE SHOW.

With curiosity, conviviality, good humor, and eyes out for serendipity, two indelible figures from the bustling Jersey City arts scene design an exhibition meant to speak to the human condition. The Curators follows Ivy Huang, the Beijing-born gallerist at IMUR (67 Greene St.), and Tris McCall, author and journalist for Jersey City Times, NJArts, and Eye Level, as they visit studios, collectives, and raw spaces, interview artists, curators, and tastemakers, and strategize about how to present the work they’ve seen.  Along the way, the show asks: what happens when we collect and exhibit art? What’s the relationship between creation and redevelopment? Does curation stop at the gallery door, or do we keep doing it, moment by moment and sight by sight, as we travel through the world?
