In 2021, Afrika Brown published “Flame”, a volume of poetry telling the story of a failed twin flame romance.

For one night, through three acts, “Flame (The Experience)” brings the poetry of the “Flame” alive through a multi-sensory journey told through sight, sound, poetry and movement that explores a failed twin flame relationship that burns to dust.

CAST
WADIAH WALIAH (Discovery)

Wadiah Waliah is an actor and writer from Newark, NJ. Theatre credits include The House of the Negro Insane, No Zooman and the Sign, Ordinary Days, The Fire This Time (standby), Slow Bullet My Three Loves, A Typical Sunday, and In Between Time. Film credits include Gazer, which premiered at Cannes. She has trained with Marishka Phillips, Charles Weldon, Arthur French, Anthony Abeson, and Petronia Paley. Wadiah is delighted to be working with Afrika again.

ALYSSA MARIE SNEED (Amour)
Alyssa Marie is a singer/actor/model based in Manhattan, New York. She recently closed a production of Beautiful: The Carole King Story with Bergen County Players and previously performed with Afrika Brown in Afrika Brown's 10 Year Retrospective, shown at The Flea Theatre. She studied her craft at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy and continued her education at The New School in Manhattan.

CRYSTAL WATFORD NUCHURCH (Aftermath)
Crystal Watford Nuchurch is an actor, producer, director, and acting coach with over 25 years in the entertainment industry. Theatre credits include The Hour, Married Single & Everything in Between, and her sold-out off-Broadway solo show Reflective Mind. Film and television credits include His Dying Wish, for which she received a Best Actress nomination, Murderous, and the upcoming series Underneath It All. Crystal is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors' Equity.

AFRIKA BROWN
Afrika Brown is an independent playwright, screenwriter, poet, producer, and director. Her plays include The Outing, Strange Fruit Redux, A Thing of Beauty, Slow Bullet, My Three Loves, THE FIGHT, and Horizons & Higher Mountains. Her first book of poetry, Sepia Sapphire, was published in 2006. Flame, her second volume of poetry, was published in 2021. In 2025, she celebrated a decade of storytelling with a retrospective of her plays at the Flea Theater.
