Expressions II: A Celebration of Art, Music, and Identity

JC Takeover was established in 2015 to raise awareness and provide a supportive outlet for gay professional men of color in Jersey City. Fade to Black was founded in 2021 to create a safe space for same-gender-loving men of color to connect, express, and thrive.
Each year during Jersey City Pride Month, these organizations come together to celebrate unity, visibility, and community empowerment.
Expressions II marks the second annual exhibition dedicated to showcasing the artistic talents and creative voices of our community. Accompanied by a live DJ featuring classic and house music, the event will highlight visual artwork centered on the experiences, identities, lifestyles of same-gender-loving individuals, creating an immersive evening of culture, pride, and self-expression.
