Celia Krefter is a director, choreographer, and lighting designer. Recent lighting design credits include: Slaughter City (Small Boat Productions & ART/New York), SOLOperas (Experiments In Opera), and Hamlet (Radiohole). Celia and her collaborator Kate Purdum create dance-theatre works, like Everything Changes, Nothing is Lost (Brick Aux, 2023) and MUDPIT (Movement Lab, 2024), with a new piece, HOW TO BE NORMAL AND REGULAR (Exponential Fellowship Finalist, 2025), in progress. Celia’s additional work as a director and choreographer includes Math Live! (Brick Aux), Tricoteuse (Movement Lab), Victor/Victoria (Cotuit Center for the Arts), and The Sonic Life of a Giant Tortoise (Barnard College).
