Anastasia Barsukova began her dance training at the age of 5. She attended Children’s Sports School of Olympic Reserve #5. At the age of 9, she enrolled at the Preliminary Program at Bolshoi Academy for a year. For three years, Anastasia trained at the GZEL ballet school and attended regular academic classes at a public school. At the age of 12 she started training at the JKO School in NYC. In 2013, she became a Studio Company member at Gelsey Kirkland Ballet where she performed a variety of roles including lead roles such as Maria/Clara in Nutcracker, Kitri in Don Quixote, Joy Fairy in Sleeping Beauty, and Pierrette in Harlequinade.
In 2016, Anastasia started to freelance. She performed with International American Ballet, NY International Dance Festival, Ballet Verite, SGI-Ballet Production, Ballet Arts, and Benjamin Briones Ballet. While dancing and performing, Anastasia earned a B.A. degree in Elementary Education and Graduate Certification in Gifted Education. Currently, Anastasia teaches an Enrichment Program in the NJ public school.
