Scene Study Class

Evenings: Tuesdays from 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Tuition: $300.00 for full program
In this class, students will:
- Discover how to develop character through accessing facets of your personality, to find a personal connection to any material
- Explore script analysis and develop techniques for breaking down scenes
- Strengthen methods for creating authentic, honest, and personal performances
- Learn shortcuts for auditions and ways to make strong, informed acting choices
- Experience the power of vulnerability as you work creatively with your peers
- Have fun and take chances in a safe environment
- Perform a final scene presentation for friends and family
Whether you are an experienced actor looking to develop a more in-depth approach to scene work, or a beginner looking to learn how to perform scenes honestly and effectively, this class is for you! While this class is designed as a deeper dive into acting technique, every student will receive individualized feedback to help build their skills.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
Ashley Renée Scott is a Colorado native, Ashley earned her degree in Film, TV, and Theater from the University of Colorado. Some of her notable theater credits include Bingo Boyz Columbine (Lida Project), Martha in Strange Snow (Playhouse West), Viola in Twelfth Night (To Be Productions), Jeanie in Good People (Playhouse West), and Carol Cutrere in Orpheus Descending (Vision Box). For her film credits, you can check out her IMDB. In Los Angeles, she studied, performed, and taught Meisner technique at Playhouse West, and worked at the Hollywood Film Lab, teaching film. Most recently Ashley was a featured actor in Gruesome Playground Injuries (Art House Productions). Additionally, she taught acting and audition technique in Paris, France (Paris Meisner), where her students continue to work globally.
