JC FRIDAYS is a seasonal arts festival that takes place four times a year across Jersey City, showcasing arts events in local businesses—restaurants, galleries, shops, and event spaces—in nearly every neighborhood. All events are free and open to the public.

Each June, we host ACCESS JC FRIDAYS, a special edition of the festival dedicated to inclusion and accessibility. This celebration features work by artists with disabilities, artwork that explores disability in all its forms, and events held in venues that are fully accessible to all community members.

THE ART HOUSE GALLERY presents modern and contemporary work with a strong focus on local and regional artists. Our visual arts program encompasses a diverse array of initiatives designed to engage, celebrate, and support our community, while extending beyond Jersey City to cultivate impactful connections and thoughtful dialogue around contemporary art.

THE AFFORDABLE ART SHOW is an annual tradition started by Art House Productions that connects artists with a broader audience by offering high-quality, original artwork at accessible price points. Now in its 8th year, the show features more than 400 works by 138 local artists.

ART HOUSE PRESENTS is Art House’s platform for local and regional performing artists to share their work in our black box theater at no rental cost. The program supports artists across disciplines—music, theater, dance, comedy, film, cabaret, and more—by providing professional production resources, including technical support, equipment, ticketing and box office services, and marketing assistance. Artists present one-night or limited-run performances and receive a 60/40 box office split after staffing costs. This program strengthens our creative community by making high-quality performance opportunities accessible and sustainable.

INKUBATOR is a year-long new play development lab at Art House Productions that supports a small cohort of selected playwrights in creating the first draft of a new full-length play. Each year, writers meet monthly with the program director and fellow cohort members to share pages, get feedback, and refine their work. The process culminates in the INKubator New Play Festival, where each playwright’s piece is presented in a professionally staged public reading with a director and actors. The program fosters artistic growth, collaboration, and long-term relationships within the Art House community and beyond.

THE JERSEY CITY COMEDY FESTIVAL is an annual stand-up comedy showcase produced by Art House Productions featuring a multi-day stand-up competition open to local and touring comedians. Shows include headlining performances by nationally-acclaimed comics as well as a series of competition showcases where performers from across the U.S. and Canada take the stage.

In each competition showcase, two winners — an audience pick and an industry pick — are selected to advance to the final competition. Finalists compete for cash prizes, festival titles, and opportunities to perform at local comedy clubs and gain press and exposure.

The festival emphasizes diversity and inclusion in comedy and features a mix of emerging and established performers, offering both participants and audiences vibrant experiences across multiple venues throughout Jersey City.

FALL MAINSTAGE CO‑PRODUCTION is a full production partnership between Art House Productions and a theater artist or company to bring a fully staged theatrical work to life on the Art House mainstage. In this collaborative model, Art House provides production infrastructure including cash support, use of the flexible black box theater, tech consultation, marketing, front‑of‑house services, rehearsal space, and equipment while the artist or company leads the creative process, including casting, direction, design, scheduling, and production management. Selected works are expected to be production‑ready and capable of running a full slate of public performances in Art House’s season.
