Live music comes to Jersey City Heights’ Riverview-Fisk Park every third Friday during the summer, and on Friday, July 19, the featured performers will be Gregory McLoughlin & the Lemonade Band.

This will be a big night for the gregarious bass-playing singer/songwriter, and it couldn’t be more well-deserved.

“For years and years, I’ve lived here and there’s been a lot of outdoor events and I always go to them, but I was never invited to perform,” McLoughlin said. “This is the first time I was actually chosen by the powers-that-be to be a symbol of the music scene here, so it’s very exciting.”
McLoughlin and his band did play the Riverview Farmers Market back in 2018, and he’s performed at area clubs, but he’s best known for playing in his basement, livestreaming weekly to a loyal cadre of fans all over the country.
