Art House announces honorees for upcoming Snow Ball Gala

At the start of the new year, Art House spends a glamorous evening celebrating the arts and recognizing creativity in Jersey City with their annual Snow Ball Gala. While the event is still weeks away, Art House has announced the honorees for the Snow Ball Gala 2024.

The 2024 honorees include State Senator-elect Angela V. McKnight, Jersey City Department of Housing, Economic Development and Commerce Director Annisia Cialone and Jersey City Director of Love & Leisure Anthony “Dancing Tony” Susco. The VIP dinner, which will feature a celebration for the honorees, will take place on Jan. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Art House Productions’ new Performing + Visual Arts Center. The Gala then follows from 8 to 11:30 p.m.

McKnight won election in November as New Jersey State Senator after serving eight years as the first African American Assemblywoman for the 31st District of the state of New Jersey. As Assemblywoman she was also chairwoman of Aging & Senior Services, vice chair of Women & Children, and a member of Homeland Security and State Preparedness committees. McKnight is also the founder and CEO of AngelaCARES, a 501c3 nonprofit that serves senior citizens, their caregivers and mentors and educates youth. She is also the owner of Care About You, LLC, which provides consulting services for the elderly population, and is CEO of Thank HER Now, LLC.

McKnight works with many community organizations such as Rising Tide Capital Community Business Academy where she is an instructor and a One-On-One mentor. She also helps with community feedings, youth empowerment, community giveback and educational events. She is an alumnus of Rising Tide Capital Community Business Academy and an Adjunct Professor at New Jersey City University.
