ABOUT GREG BRICKEY
Greg Brickey was born and raised in Indiana. While he often feels disconnected from his Midwestern roots, his accent serves as a constant reminder of his upbringing. Indiana's natural beauty captivated Brickey, drawing him into its deep, silent woods in Ft. Wayne, and the endless cornfields and hillsides of Salem. Growing up in a family with ties to author Kurt Vonnegut, Brickey was surrounded by an atmosphere that acknowledged and respected art. He observed his relatives' admiration and trepidation towards Vonnegut's work, recognizing the power of art to provide escape and solace.

Brickey inherited his drawing talent from his father, a navigator on bombers during WWII. He pursued his passion for fine art at Carnegie Mellon University and has been exhibiting his work since the late 1980s. Having lived in various states including Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Washington DC, Brickey currently maintains a studio in Jersey City, New Jersey.
