She holds a BFA in Chinese Classical Dance from Beijing Dance Academy and an MA in Dance Education from New York University, where she received the Outstanding Artistry Award. Her professional performance experience includes Limón2 and collaborations with independent choreographers and multidisciplinary artists. She has performed at venues including The Joyce Theater, Alvin Ailey Theater, and the Mark Morris Dance Center, and has participated in festivals and cross-cultural artistic projects throughout the United States. Zhang’s artistic practice explores the dialogue between Eastern movement traditions and contemporary dance.
