About the Artist
Beginning in the late 1980’s in Saint Petersburg, Russia, Kotlin, and a cohort of other artists, invented a new media technique which utilized the limited supplies available to them. Now living in the U.S., Kotlin calls them “oil drawings,” and continues to work on and develop this technique.
