ABOUT "IN SEARCH OF MOTHER NATURE"

Jersey City Artist Beth Achenbach is teaming up with Art House Productions to present her solo exhibit “In Search of Mother Nature” in honor of Women’s’ History Month.
Says Achenbach, “I have a very basic concept for this show and it’s to portray women with attributes you would associate with an image of Mother Nature, like femininity, wisdom and strength.” Over the past few weeks she has been taking photos in a temporary studio on the rooftop home of Art House Productions where the exhibit will take place. Her subjects include some of Jersey City’s up and coming women on the arts scene including Christine Goodman, Art House Productions’ Executive Director. Says Goodman,“Beth Achenbach’s photographic work finds the intersection between intimacy and strength, resilience and vulnerability. For me, her work exemplifies what it means to be a woman in today’s world. Art House Productions couldn’t ask for a better artist to exhibit at our space in celebration of Women’s History Month.
“In Search of Mother Nature” will hang from March 6th until April 11th.
